Required Documents to Bring

✅ Documentation of your relationship to the child, such as birth certificate, custody orders, medical records, or other documents.

✅ Immunization records - documentation of all immunizations received as of required by California Law

✅ Emergency contact information

✅ If applicable, a copy of your child's IEP

 

Additional requirements if you will be requesting financial assistance

✅ Utility bill

✅ One month of documentation of income from all applicable sources dated within the past 60 consecutive days including, but not limited to one month of employment paystubs, cash aid, CalWORKS, CalFresh, housing assistance, child support, unemployment, disability

✅ If self-employed, 2021 income tax return and proof of business such as business license or business card and printout of past quarter revenue & expense. In addition, appointment logs, client receipts, job logs, mileage logs, or other documents to prove days and hours worked

✅ If in training/ school, a printout of your schedule

✅ Documentation of your child's siblings (under 18) to be included in your family size such as birth certificate, custody orders, adoption/ foster documents, medical records, or county welfare

✅ If you are a foster parent or legal guardian, you must provide legal documentation

✅ In addition to the above, for enrollment in the following centers: Arbuckle, Castlemont, Chynoweth, Decoto, Eden Palms, Eden Youth, Esther Hobbs, Foxdale, Guy Emanuele, Hillside, Hubbard, Peixoto, The Plaza, Unidos, you must provide 12 months of income, which includes your current income from all sources, your 2021 income tax return or 2021 W2/ 1099, and the last paystub you received in 2021. If receiving CalWORKS/ Cash Aid or SSI, you must provide a statement or letter dated within the past 3 months

Curriculum

Kidango believes in providing stimulating, multi-lingual, cross cultural environments that foster physical, intellectual, social and emotional development of all children.

The focus in all Kidango programs is to provide individualized care and incorporate children’s interests and strengths. Kidango uses developmental assessment tools to help identify developmentally appropriate activities and opportunities for growth for each child.

Kidango also employs Key Interest Areas at each center, which provide a range of activities to foster well-rounded development.

Potty Training

All children are welcome at Kidango centers, regardless of their potty training status. Our staff will work with your family to support potty training efforts and provide guidance as requested.

Part-Time vs. Full-Time

Kidango offers flexibility to meet your family’s needs. Children enrolled in part-time care receive the same curriculum and support as those enrolled full time.

Staff & Ratios

Teaching staff at Kidango centers are certified and credentialed by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. In addition, staff undergo background checks, are CPR and First Aid certified, and participate in training as a regular part of employment with Kidango. All Kidango centers exceed the required ratio of teachers to children.

Nutrition

Kidango’s Nutrition Program ensures children get the right start to a lifetime of healthy eating. Kidango’s Nutrition Program produces 5,000 meals every day, utilizing locally sourced produce, flash-frozen vegetables, simple homemade recipes, and whole foods. We provide breakfast, lunch and snack. Our kitchen is licensed through the Alameda County Health Department and Environmental Health.
